Miss Gabbie has been my teacher for a good 5 months as I took my directing, acting and singing courses at Stage 69 Productions. One thing about Miss Gabbie is that her classes are never boring or awkward in any way, her classes are always in an upbeat attitude which gives a very good positive influence on her students including me. In terms of Miss Gabbie’s lessons, not only are her subjects from a professional standpoint, it’s also based on originality that are actually useful when performing, acting and singing. She is also able to bring the best out of her students, whether it’s confidence, skills or talent. One of my favourite take away from Miss Gabbie’s class would definitely be her directing class. As one would usually think that directing is all about the technical stuff and everything is by the book, Miss Gabbie was able to bring everything to life and throw real life scenarios at me to teach me the root of directing and the true meaning of it. It didn’t fail to surprise me how fun it is to be a director aside from the technical side of directing. Another thing I admire about Miss Gabbie’s class is that she always made sure I project not only my voice but also myself, expressing the feelings of the character when I act or the feelings of the song I sing. Miss Gabbie truly is one of the best teacher for performing arts, whether it’s backstage or on stage.
